Group HR Director

Senior, strategic leadership of the group’s people agenda as Mentora scales towards 300+ people. An internal executive role for a strategy-led people leader who can design and deliver scalable people solutions, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team.

What you'll do

  • Define and deliver a scalable people strategy aligned to growth, acquisitions and service-line economics
  • Lead organisational design for a multi-site, multi-disciplinary professional services model
  • Lead cultural integration across acquired businesses, driving change management and engagement
  • Embed performance and development frameworks, workforce planning, succession and leadership capability
  • Own the people workstream for acquisitions — due diligence, integration and repeatable playbooks
  • Ensure compliant, modern people practices across ROI and NI, with scalable HR systems and metrics

What you'll bring

  • Senior people leadership experience — CPO, HR Director, Head of People or equivalent
  • Background in professional services: accounting, advisory, technology or similar
  • Proven experience scaling organisations from roughly 150 to 300+ employees
  • Strong M&A people-integration experience
  • Deep understanding of ROI and NI employment frameworks
  • Desirable: partner-led or matrix organisations; coaching or leadership development credentials

Group Financial Controller

A pivotal role in the group’s next phase of growth — financial leadership, commercial insight and operational excellence, with responsibility for high-quality reporting, strong controls, cash flow management and a scalable finance function that supports an ambitious growth and acquisition agenda.

What you'll do

  • Lead accurate, timely monthly group management accounts with insightful analysis and commentary
  • Lead the financial integration of acquired businesses — systems, reporting, controls and working capital
  • Manage the group audit end to end and ensure statutory, regulatory and tax compliance
  • Manage treasury, working capital and cash flow across the group, including covenant reporting
  • Develop strong financial control and governance frameworks; own the group’s cost base
  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team as a trusted finance partner to the business

What you'll bring

  • Qualified accountant (ACA preferred) with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Naturally curious, with a drive to improve processes through automation and technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience leading and building high-performing teams
  • Strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen
  • Expert-level Excel; business intelligence tools such as Power BI an advantage
